Kodagu, also known as Coorg, is a rural district in the southwest Indian state of Karnataka. In the area’s north, Madikeri Fort has 2 life-size elephant statues at its entrance, plus a Gothic-style church with a museum on its grounds. Nearby, the Hindu Omkareshwara Temple dates back to the 19th century. Farther north are the domed Raja’s Tomb, a burial place of Kodava kings, and cascading Abbi Falls.

TOUR OVERVIEW

* Perched right on top of a 300 acre coffee plantation surrounded by unending valleys and hills, this is the perfect place to be.

* You will learn about Coffee and the spices that are grown in the estate.

* It is a perfect space to view the spectacular scenery as well as for bird watching.

The serenity and the tranquility of the place, the breath of fresh air and the accompanying aroma will be a welcome change from the everyday life experience.

Go for a trek or walk about. You can enjoy a 4 wheeler drive if you wish, at extra cost. Plantation tour is a horticultural field trip on a 4 wheel drive jeep.

The insightful tour will make you richer in knowledge on how these crops are grown, processed, sold and many other interesting information about the agricultural practices that are followed in Coorg.
You will also enjoy an off-roader experience albeit without the adrenaline rush while negotiating steep rocky nature tracks.

Leave for Jade Hills early in the morning. It is about an hour’s drive. The hills and valleys around also offer superlative hiking and trekking pathways. Madikeri town is a short ride away to stock up on coffee and spices. Mandalapatti, the scenic and beautiful tourist spot is about 20 kms from Jade Hills. Also close by is the Tibetan settlement at Bylakuppe, as well as the elephant camp at Dubare. Abbey falls is a place, not very far, that you would like to visit.
