Our Sakleshpur group trip is a road trip from Bangalore, with multiple pick-up and drop-off points usually along the ORR. If you are joining us from a different city, reach Bangalore by the evening of 1st October and book your return journey after 10 PM on 4th October.

Day 1: Shettihalli Church. Plantation walk and lake.

Local attractions

Leave Bangalore early (by 6AM) for Sakleshpur. Breakfast on the way. If water level permits, visit Shettihalli Church. Reach your homestay by lunch. Your stay is in an estate, in the midst of nature’s lush green estate atop a hill surrounded with large paddy fields. Go for a walk around the property. Spend time at the lake inside the property. Overnight.

Our Sakleshpur all women group tour is essentially a road trip to ex-Bangalore, with multiple pickup and drop points usually along the ORR. Pickups will start by 6 AM so that we can avoid city traffic. Exact pickup points will be shared closer to the date of travel based on the group and feasibility.

This is a relaxing vacation. We will cover a few sightseeing points but the idea is to soak and chill. Come with an unhurried mindset.

We are staying right in the middle of nature. This is a coffee estate stay. Food will be simple, home cooked meals at the stay.

It's always so good to have a all woman company trip .so even if u have to travel solo you don't have to think twice about the company. Travelled to Sakleshpur in 2015 & Goa carnival with F5 in 2019. The arrangements has always been very good with a safe travel.

Day 2: Belur Chennakesava Temple. Visit a nearby stream. Sunset.

Temple

After breakfast, go for an excursion to the Chennakeshava Temple of Belur. Built in the 12-century, both temples, dedicated to Lord Vishnu, this temple is an exquisite example of Hoysala architecture. Return to the estate. Visit the nearby stream, an easy walk away. Spend some time near the stream and relax. Watch the sunset from a vantage point. Overnight at Sakleshpur.

The Chennakeshava Temple of Belur was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2023.

FUN FACT!

Did you know? The 42-foot ‘deepastambha’ or lamp pillar is known to be standing on its own weight without any foundation! Popularly called the ‘gravity pillar’ it is said you can even pass a thin paper under it, proving that it’s balanced on three corners with a gap on the fourth.

Day 3 : Manjirabad Fort. Return to Bangalore.

Drive: 6-7 hrs

Trip ends

After breakfast checkout and start for Bangalore. Visit Manjarabad fort, one of the few star shaped forts in India. The trek to Manjarabad fort is easy and just half a km from the car park. Lunch on the way or packed. Reach Bangalore by evening. Our Sakleshpur weekend trip ends here.

We will be driving back to Bangalore today. Drop-offs will be along the same route as the pick-ups (no airport/railway station drops). We will try to be back in the city by 8 PM. For those travelling further, please book your return tickets after 10 PM.

Any cost arising due to natural calamities, personal flight delays and aspects beyond our control. We will definitely facilitate an alternative and handle the contingency, the cost being yours.

Up to 30 days prior to the date of commencement of trip – 25% of the trip price deducted and 75% refunded as cash.

What type of accommodation will be provided?

We select accommodation based on their uniqueness/character, location, cleanliness and comfort, hospitality, food quality, and more. How will the pick-up and drop-offs be arranged for the Sakleshpur group trip?

All pick-ups are usually along the Bangalore ORR and drop offs will be along the same route. We will start pick-ups early by 6 AM on 02 October and try to complete all drop-offs by 8 PM on 04 October. We can suggest potential pick up points but cannot promise them. The final pick up points will be based on the feasible route close to the date of travel and the location of all the travelers in the group. We will do our best to communicate and plan comfortable pickups for all the travellers.

Is this a mom and kids tour?

This is a relaxing and light-activity level trip and we’ve had mom and kids travel on our trips before. However, we request all to go through the itinerary carefully and reach out to us with questions (especially if you are travelling with children below 5 years or have special requirements).

What would the weather be like?

The days would be warmer and nights would be pleasant, temperature ranging between 20°C to 26°C . Though it will be the end of monsoon, do expect intermittent showers. (Note: This is only a prediction and the above information might be subject to change during your actual travel days.)

What are the company policies on smoking/drinking?

Note on Smoking and Alcohol policy: Everyone joining is an adult and we realise that we cannot dictate the behavior on how you should enjoy the trip. All we ask is to drink responsibly. Hangover delays are going to cost a lot, and will not be tolerated at all. So please do not test your limits and enjoy in moderation. Also, do respect your roommate’s comfort levels with the alcohol smell and avoid drinking in the room if she is not comfortable. If you smoke, please do so outside the room, even if the rooms have ashtray.
