Hampi is a heady mix. It is a cocktail of the most unlikely ingredients thrown in together. It is definitely a window to a glorious past, rightly famous for its intricate carvings and the legends. But there is so much more to Hampi. The moment you hit the periphery, you are spellbound by the landscape. To amp up the heritage experience we are also visiting Chalukya dynasty's monuments of Badami, Aihole and Pattadakal. Experience history and the grandeur of the bygone era with F5 Escapes. Join us on our Hampi and Badami women group tour, ex-Bangalore road trip, for an unforgettable girls trip.

F5 is one of the best and safest travel companies for women…I for one have done their motorbiking workshop and recently their Hampi trip. Hampi was a long awaited destination for me and I must say I came back with a whole lot of memories. Travelling with a new bunch of people is an adventure in itself. All you have to do is pack your bags and then just reach the destination. Rest all is taken care of..After travelling with F5 I really can’t think of any other travel group.

There will be a lot of walking involved, as exploring the ruins and the heritage sites could happen quite at length. Each Heritage site sometimes is spread across a vast area and so could end up taking a lot of time with us standing and listening to the history or taking a stroll around the complexes.

Built of granite stone, the wheels originally could rotate, but were fixed to prevent damage. P.S. Remember to carry a ₹50 note with you and get clicked in front of the famous stone chariot!

7
Any other details I should know before signing up for the Hampi and Badami women only group trip?

Please note, this trip is ex-Bangalore. This is a road trip. Hampi is quite a distance from Bangalore and hence the road travel will take time. We are trying to explore a bygone era but we are not doing just monuments. The idea is to also explore the natural beauty of Hampi. You will need more than a fortnight to cover every monument in this circuit, so we have curated some of the most important and interesting sets of monuments for you, giving you a contrast between different architectures and natural beauty.

8
How much of walking/climbing will be there during the trip?

There will be a lot of walking involved, as exploring the ruins and the heritage sites could happen quite at length. Each Heritage site sometimes is spread across a vast area and so could end up taking a lot of time with us standing and listening to the history or taking a stroll around the complexes. Also, the treks to Anjanadri hills & Chitradurga Fort will be intensive.

9
What are the company policies on smoking/drinking?

Everyone joining is an adult and we realise that we cannot dictate the behaviour on how you should enjoy the trip. All we ask is to drink responsibly. Hangover delays are going to cost a lot, and will not be tolerated at all. So please do not test your limits and enjoy in moderation. Also, do respect your roommate’s comfort levels with the alcohol smell and avoid drinking in the room if she is not comfortable. If you smoke, please do so outside the room, even if the rooms have ashtray.

10
How does F5 Escapes promote responsible and sustainable tourism?

When we travel, we visit somebody’s home, be it a city, village or a place of stay. We treat them with utmost respect. We encourage all our guests to leave no trace, only footprints. We recommend carrying one's own steel water bottles. Most places of stay we partner with provide clean drinking water and water is available for refill. Small shift, big impact. We are mindful about our group not littering the destination. We try choosing vendors who make a conscious effort to employ locals, thereby enabling us to give back to the local economy. We encourage local handicrafts and on several trips we visit local artisans. We try to reduce overcrowding by travelling in small groups of maximum 12 people. We support women-led enterprises and seek them out on our travels. We work with local organisations across India involved in conservation, culture preservation and employment generation.
