Day 1 : Arrive in Trivandrum. Private island in backwaters. Boat ride.

Drive: 2-3 hrs

Local cuisine

Arrive in Trivandrum and drive to Munroe Island. Discover the island and enjoy the backwaters. Involve yourself in different activities. You can take part in kayaking, fishing, swimming in the lake, canoeing through the narrow canals to see fish farming and a village walk. Relish the local cuisine. Overnight at Munroe Island.

This trip is ex-Trivandrum. Please ensure you are reaching by 10 AM. You can arrive by bus/train too. We will arrange for pickup/drops accordingly.

Our South Kerala & Kanyakumari women-only tour has both culture and nature appreciation at the heart of it. As much as we explore monuments, we will enjoy the backwaters and beaches too.

We will arrange for authentic Kerala food, which will include vegetarian and non-vegetarian options. If you have any specific meal preferences / dietary requirements, please let us know beforehand.

The trip had a variety of elements, a good mix of temple, island, beach, local food, bit of shopping.- Special mention to the stays - they were absolutely stunning with FAB views…It was my birthday. The group arranged for a surprise cake cutting (that too tender coconut flavour) and some cute gifts.

Day 2 : Jatayu’s Earth Center. Varkala.

Drive: 1-2 hrs

Walk: 2-3 hrs

Local cuisine

After breakfast, leave to visit Jatayu Earth’s Center which holds the distinction of having the world’s largest bird sculpture. Enjoy the magnificent views and know the story behind it. Legend has it that the battered, wingless Jatayu fell on top of a hillock in Chadayamangalam, where the sculpture stands now. Later, drive further towards Varkala. Explore Varkala, the only place in southern Kerala where cliffs are found adjacent to the Arabian Sea. If time permits, visit Anjengo Fort. Overnight at Varkala.

There will be considerable walking today. Also, expect holiday crowd at the various destinations.

September end will be the tail end of monsoon in Kerala. Expect low humidity with temperatures ranging between 24 to 32 degrees C.

FUN FACT!

Did you know? The sculptor at the Jatayu Earth’s Center wanted to transform the rock into a piece of art that felt one with the landscape. The sculpture, as such, depicts Jatayu on his back, wings spread, belonging to the landscape, and cementing itself as a symbol of his bravery.

Day 3 : Kanyakumari. Vivekanand Rock Memorial.

Drive: 3-4 hrs

Walk: 1-2 hrs

Ferry ride

After breakfast, drive to Kanyakumari. Enjoy a ferry ride on the ocean to Vivekananda rock memorial and Thiruvalluvar statue. Kanyakumari temple (translates to ‘Virgin Goddess’) temple, Legend has it that the diamond nose stud of Kanyakumari Bhagavathi deity is so shiny that it got mistaken for a lighthouse once! Overnight at Kanyakumari.

I have been a frequent traveller with F5...Recently I had visited south Kerala and Kanyakumari with F5 - as always it was memorable one. There was a good mix of places- known tourist attractions and some lesser travelled places... Collected lots of memories and some new friends !

Day 4 : Trivandrum. Palace. Padmanabhaswamy Temple.

Drive: ~3 hrs

Walk: 1-2 hrs

Wake up to a glorious sunrise at the tip of India. After breakfast drive to Trivandrum. Later in the evening visit Sree Padmanabhaswamy Temple. Overnight at Trivandrum.

FUN FACT!

Did you know? The 18-foot-long, Lord Vishnu's idol at the Sree Padmanabhaswamy Temple in Thiruvananthapuram, cannot be seen entirely through one door. Devotees can view the deity's idol through three separate doors - the first for the face/chest, the second for the navel, with a lotus holding Lord Brahma, and the last door for the feet.

Day 5 : Fly out.

Return flights

After breakfast, get dropped at the airport for your flight back. Our Kanyakumari all women tour ends here.

Book your return tickets anytime after 9 AM. Hotel check-out is at 10 AM. If you are leaving by bus/train, drop can be arranged accordingly.

Exclusions

Some expenses are excluded (especially those of personal preferences) and will have to be taken care of by the individual. Exclusions include:

Flight/bus/train tickets to Trivandrum from your city of residence and back.

Tips, shopping, camera charges, any personal expenses.

Packaged water bottles

Food other than inclusions.

Anything not included in inclusions.

Any cost arising due to natural calamities, personal flight delays and aspects beyond our control. We will definitely facilitate an alternative and handle the contingency, the cost being yours.

15% of the trip cost if canceled 90 days or more in advance.

25% of the trip cost if canceled 89 – 60 days in advance.

50% of the trip cost if it is canceled 59 to 16 days in advance.

Last 15 days – no show – the entire amount will be forfeited.

If you use our services to book flights, cancellation charges will apply.

Note on Smoking and Alcohol policy: Everyone joining is an adult and we realise that we cannot dictate the behaviour on how you should enjoy the trip. All we ask is to drink responsibly. Hangover delays are going to cost a lot, and will not be tolerated at all. So please do not test your limits and enjoy in moderation. Also, do respect your roommate’s comfort levels with the alcohol smell and avoid drinking in the room if she is not comfortable. If you smoke, please do so outside the room, even if the rooms have ashtray.

Hi i travelled to trivendrum, kanyakumari, Munroe island, and Varkala trip. They designed the itenary very well. Especially rooms in all places are very very nice. In kanyakumari v can see sun rice, vivekananda rock from ur room. In Varkala beach is just infront of our room. Our travel buddy (...) is also nice.
