Day 1: Land in Itanagar. Drive to Ziro.

Arrivals

Scenic Drive : 3 hours

Arrive at Itanagar airport and move towards the beautiful Ziro valley. This will be around 3 hours of journey. Reach Ziro by late evening. Check in to your homestay & relax. Overnight at Ziro.

Please note homestay will have different types of rooms, however, they will be all be similar in comfort.

Day 2: Siddheshwar Nath, Seeh Lake & Pamu Yalang View Point

Start your day waking up in the beautiful Ziro valley . We Visit Shree Siddheshwar Nath - Shiva Linga temple, known for the world’s largest natural Shivling & India’s first Integrated Aqua park & museum. Visit the peaceful Seeh Lake & Pamu Yalang View Point with the breathtaking views and lush green surroundings. Overnight at Ziro.

Tourism in Ziro Valley is still relatively underdeveloped and low-impact, which is a part of its charm. The region has avoided heavy commercialization, please expect simple, basic facilities.

FUN FACT!

Ziro Valley is one of the few places in India where rice and fish are farmed together in the same fields known as Ajii-Nguyi.

Walk through the paddy fields, explore the local villages, understand the rice fish farming system. Overnight at Ziro.

Day 4: Flyout

Return flights

After breakfast, start your journey back to Itanagar. Get dropped at the airport for your afternoon flight. Our Ziro women tour ends.

Some expenses are excluded (especially those of personal preferences) and will have to be taken care of by the individual. Exclusions include:

Any cost arising due to natural calamities, personal flight delays and aspects beyond our control. We will definitely facilitate an alternative and handle the contingency, the cost being yours.

Terms & Conditions

REFUNDS/CANCELLATION:

If cancelled 90 days or more in advance, cancellation fee is 15% of the trip amount.

25% of the trip cost if cancelled 89 – 60 days in advance.

50% of the trip cost if cancelled 59 to 16 days in advance.

Last 15 days – no show – entire amount will be forfeited.

If you use our services to book flights, cancellation charges of the flights will apply.

What type of accommodation will be provided?

We select accommodation based on their uniqueness/character, location, cleanliness and comfort, hospitality, food quality, and more. Hence, we work with a variety of stays - boutique hotels, heritage properties, well appointed standard hotels, premium homestays etc. You can download the pdf itinerary for more details on the stays being used in the Ziro valley tour.

What type of food will be available during the trip?

Simple Indian food such as rotis/dal, rice, etc. Toast/omelettes will be available. If you have special dietary requests, please let us know beforehand.

Why are we not covering Ziro Music Festival?

Lack of infrastructure - homestay and stay inventories are not great yet, people put up tents to attend. It also takes time for the cleanups after the festival, so we have planned it before.

What are the company policies on smoking/drinking?

NOTE ABOUT SMOKING & ALCOHOL: Everyone joining is an adult and we realize that we cannot dictate the behavior on how you should enjoy the trip. All we ask is to drink responsibly. Hangover delays are going to cost a lot, and will not be tolerated at all. So please do not test your limits and enjoy in moderation. Also, do respect your roommate’s comfort levels with the alcohol smell and avoid drinking in the room if she is not comfortable. If you smoke, please do so outside the room, even if the rooms have ashtray.

We encourage local handicrafts and on several trips we visit local artisans. We try to reduce overcrowding by travelling in small groups of maximum 12 people. We support women-led enterprises and seek them out on our travels. We work with local organisations across India involved in conservation, culture preservation and employment generation.
