  • You may get rainfall on your way to Spiti , as Monsoon month would be ending.
*Please note that now a days, climate/ weather is dependent on many factors and unpredictable hence above information might be subject to change during your actual travel days.

Stay

We will be staying in beautiful homestays with the locals. Please do come with the view of respecting the sanctity of a home and appreciating the warmth and hospitality. Foooood!

  • Simple Indian food such as rotis/dal, rice etc. Toast/Omelettes will be available.
  • If you have special dietary requests, please let us know beforehand.
  • It would also be a good idea to carry some meal packets with you if you have special requirements.

Note about Smoking & Alcohol:

  • Everyone joining is an adult and we realise that we cannot dictate the behaviour on how you should enjoy the trip. Each destination offers a locally brewed wine or beer and we would love for you to try them. All we ask is to drink responsibly. Alcohol on higher altitude helps in warming you up, but at the same time, can make you extremely dehydrated. And even smaller quantities can cause a hangover.
  • Hangover delays are going to cost a lot, and will not be tolerated at all. So please do not test your limits and enjoy moderation. Also, do respect your roommate’s comfort levels with the alcohol smell and avoid drinking in the room if she is not comfortable.
  • If you smoke, please do so outside the room, even if the rooms have ashtray. Smoking at high altitude is not recommended.

Note > Prepare > Accept > Embrace:

  • Higher altitudes require a certain level of fitness. We are not strictly trekking anywhere but even climbing up the stairs or little steep walk to the monasteries or any sightseeing areas will feel like treks, given the altitude (around 6500 to 15000 ft altitudes). Langza is at 14500 ft. If you can brisk walk for 2 kilometres regularly, you should be okay.
  • We will share with you the do’s and don’ts of travelling to high altitude places and will also suggest some medication. Please consult your physician regarding the same.
  • The first day is for acclimatization. We expect all travellers to follow the guidelines.
  • Expect traffic jams! (especially enroute Rohtang Pass)
  • In line with the ideology of F5 Escapes, we will be staying in small guest houses and homestays during our trip. Please come with an open mind about sharing someone’s home and maintain the sanctity.
  • The stay in Langza will have shared bathrooms. Since they are local houses, bathrooms will have to be shared.
  • Please keep Hot-Water Bottle as a precaution for warming the bed (something like this :
  • This is a ROAD TRIP, to one of the most treacherous routes in the country, no less. The rewards are unbelievable but the journey will prove tiring. Please reconsider if you have back issues.
  • We start our days as early as possible, especially on the days of long travel.
  • We promise you a relaxed day after a day of long travel.
